Privacy Policy

To run HeleSafe, we store the following information you provide:

• Parent account: email address and family name
• Keiki profiles: name, age, hashed 4-digit PIN, generated keiki code
• Check-ins: button type, timestamp, and GPS coordinates captured at the moment of the tap
• Notification contacts: name and email of people you choose to alert

We use this information solely to provide HeleSafe's check-in notifications and safety features — sending alerts to your contacts, showing your family dashboard, and keeping a history of recent check-ins. We do not use it for advertising or analytics profiling.

HeleSafe does not collect personal information directly from children under 13. All keiki accounts are created and managed by a parent or guardian. Parents may request deletion of their child's data at any time by contacting hello@shakasoftware.com.

Your family's data is stored on Supabase, secured with row-level security policies so that each parent account can only access its own family's data.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties. Period.

We send check-in and emergency alert emails through Resend. Email addresses you add as notification contacts are used solely to deliver those alerts.

HeleSafe Premium subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We do not store payment card information on our servers.

Check-in history (including GPS location data) is retained as follows:

• Free plan: Full detail for 30 days. Data older than 30 days is automatically deleted.
• Premium plan: Full detail for 1 year. Data older than 1 year is automatically deleted.
• Expected arrival records are deleted after 7 days (free) or 30 days (premium) once completed or cancelled.
• Upon account deletion, all personal data including keiki records, check-in history, and contact information is permanently deleted within 30 days.
• Parents may request immediate deletion of all data by contacting hello@shakasoftware.com.

Automated cleanup runs daily at 2:00 AM Hawaiʻi time.
